ANZAC Day Study

Over the past week, we have discussed ANZAC Day and what it means to us. During our Hangout Meets we shared ideas like, "a day to remember the soldiers that died at war" and "we have a place to feel safe because of what they did." 1. Wow Room Rongomatane, I loved seeing your art, your candle holders, your Anzac biscuits and learning about your family who went to War. At this time we remember the bravery and courage they had. We will remember them. Mr Swann

    1. It was very touching when they began sharing their photos of their dawn services at the end of their driveways early Saturday morning. Their ANZAC candle holders took on a life of their own. I'm sure it was a memory they would treasure for forever.

  3. Thank you Rain. Yes Ethan does look a lot like my dad, especially in that photo. It was a very special experience, visiting the place that affected my dad so greatly. My dad was a pretty interesting man.

  4. Wow Rongomatane - what fabulous Anzac art! The lanterns looked stunning all lit up. Thank you, Manaia, for sharing about your poppa. Thank you, Eden, for sharing about your great grandfather who went to war. I love your poem's message about kindness.
