We Got This, Rongomatane!
After Rongomatane saw the Makaraka Staff video that they shared, they were inspired to do the same. After a few attempts to get the videos sent through (sorry guys, technical difficulties), it's ready to go. The main theme that I got from watching this video, is how much we are all missing each other and can't wait to see one another again. Perhaps that's why we love to catch up during our Google Meets. Thank you, parents, for taking up the challenge. Our tamariki are very lucky to have you! Stay tuned for Rongomatane's next crazy adventure😜And a big thank you to my son, Ethan for putting the video together. "It takes a Village!"

ReplyDeleteThank you! The students are very proud of what they have achieved. As I keep saying, "It takes a village to raise a child."
DeleteYou are amazing Rongomatane! That looked like fun making the videos at home. Thank you for sending them in so they could be put into a class video. I am missing seeing all your smiley faces too at school. Catch up in a couple of weeks when Level 3 is over. Mr Swann
ReplyDeleteWe are very lucky to have such supportive and caring parents. Didn't Ethan do a great job?

Keep it up Rongomatane - You got this!!!
Thank you so much! It was an idea shared by Tasmin - she led the way. I agree, they are pretty darn cool indeed.

ReplyDeleteThanks Rain. I liked seeing all of our class doing something together again. I miss you all, too.
DeleteKia ora Rongomatane. I loved your video. Great to see you all outside having fun with such a range of animal friends. And what an awesome way to collaborate with each other even though you can't get together in the same place. What was the hardest thing about making this video?
ReplyDeleteDuring our Meet today I asked the group how they found this experience. The hardest thing about making this video for them was that it took 7 gos but that it was fun. They found it "easy peasy lemon squeezy" and said that they came up with their own ideas but got additional help from their families.
DeleteWow 7 goes! That shows great resilience. I'm impressed that you came up with your own ideas. If you want to see any of the Ako Hiko blogs they are here Ako Hiko blogs
DeleteThank you for your thoughtful and kind comment, Phil @ Ako Hiko. I will be sure to ask the children what they found hard about their part of making the video. For me, the hardest part was receiving the videos in a way that I could download them. We thought that we could grab them through facebook, in the same way that we do with photos. This was not the case. In the end we shared via google drive and messenger. As a group, we all very committed to making it work. Thanks for your great question.
