Sir David Attenborough taught us some valuable lessons in his movie, A Life on our Planet. We wanted to learn how to eat less meat so we researched and created our own recipes. This was an opportunity to learn some key ideas when using our Chromebooks. Kai Day
Our schoolwide focus on Kai leads to our class having a kai day. Students watched the movie by David Attenborough warning us about the effects of climate change. One of the changes that we can make for the future is to eat less meat in our diets. This will have a beneficial effect on our environment as we return the land to nature (lowering our carbon emissions and reinstating natural habitats for wildlife).

Jack and the Beanstalk with Mote
The wonderful Megan has been busy making pieces to support our focus on Fairy Tales. These stories follow a fiction storyline sequence that helps teach students how a story flows.
A few weeks ago, Amie from Manaiakalaani showed me how to use Mote. It records short snippets of thinking. I have used Mote to record students thinking about what they thought might happen next in the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
